Pump up the volume?

I was in the car today and the song "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails came on and I immediately turned it up.  It's not a typical song I would listen to but I love it.  That got me thinking about the songs where I turn up the volume every time I hear them. Songs that pump me up.  What's on your list?  My list ... (besides "Closer")

Come Sail Away - Styx

Vogue - Madonna

Bad Romance - Gaga (this is a new addition to my standard list)

Pretty much anything by Foo Fighters

Crocodile Rock (When my stepson is in the car just to embarass him even though he secretly loves it)

Walkin' on Sunshine - Katrina and the Waves

Sexy Back - Timberlake

I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor

  • Oh I love Closer, even though it's filthy.  I agree with Jen on Britney.  I would also say Bel Biv Devoe-Poison, Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch-Good Vibrations, Red Jumpsuit Aparatus- Guardian Angel, and lots of filthy rap that I cannot even begin to name. I am sure there are many more but I think it also depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Sometimes I will jam some pretty sappy stuff. lol

  • Anything Kelly Clarkson, Viva La Vida by Cold Play, several Kings of Leon songs and my favorite song on the radio right now is Airplanes by B.o.B.

Guilty pleasure songs are Eddie Money's Shakin' and Rick Springfield's Jesse's Girl.

Totally filthy!  Cracks me up.  And I'm not above some downright nasty gangster rap if I'm in the mood.  And I will turn a sad song up and sing along if I'm in that mood.  Agreed.

If someone checked the songs on my iPod, they'd think I was crazy.  Gangster rap --> Jim Brickman --> Nelly --> Amy Grant -->  (I will stop the embarassment there...)

  • Anything by

    George Michael/Wham!

    Eagles

    New Edition/BBD/Bobby Brown/Ralph Tresvant/Johnny Gill

    Keith Sweat

    Al B Sure!

    Brian McKnight

And yes, I realize how much I just aged myself.

  • Too many to list! Anything NIN (whoever said it's a filthy song is right, but I love it anyway), punk rock and ska, old school 90's alternative, Eminem, etc. I guess in general I like my music loud :)

I've also been known to roll down the windows and crank up the NKOTB on a nice, warm day... Embarrassed
