where should we go?
my male cousin is going to be in town this weekend. his conference stuff will be in downtown and midtown. but his hotel is in the cumberland mall area. any ideas on a fun place to take him to eat/drink in either of those areas? he's in his early 30's and i know he is into beer.
not that this really makes a difference but he's from nyc and has been living in california for the past few years. the only reason i mention this is that i'd imagine a lot of the chain places around town would seem lame maybe? the only places that i've thought of so far are TAP and The Vortex. we don't need anything fancy.

My Nest Bio and Cycling Advice
In Midtown, I'd head to Cypress Street Pint and Plate. Great atmosphere and good brews. They have a great outdoor patio and delicious food.
The Porter Beer Bar in little 5 is also amazing. I personally think the food and beer selection is better than Brickstore in Decatur. The last few times I've been to Brickstore I've been disappointed.
