Rec your baby photographer
The big day is fast approaching and I would love to have a photographer lined up as soon as possible. I'd really like to find someone who release the pics to us on a cd (and not for a ridiculous price) so we can make our own announcement/christmas cards up. I LOVE Johanna Price's work, but am unsure if she can/will do that - I'm waiting to hear back from her. In the meantime, I'd like to hear who you ladies have used and really like.

Sarah Pollio - she's fantastic...no limit on the number of pictures you get back. She'll just snap away, and you get the good ones on a CD. She did our Newborn, 3 month and 6 month and will be doing our 9 month in 2 weeks! If you want to see her work let me know and I can email you a link for his pictures.

I used Jennie Gaskins for Ellie's newborn pics. She released a disc at that time, but I don't know if she does any longer.

Johanna Price is extremely talented with the babies. I was amazed at what she was able to do with Greta at 9 days old. We were able to purchase digital files and make our own announcements. She recently took some 6 month photos of Greta and they are amazing. How adorable is the pic in my siggy? I love her expression!
A girl I went to college with also just started a photography business and took some really cute photos of Greta. You get a cd with her package. (If you use her mention Greta's mom sent you)

We used both of these photographers. While Jennie does a great job her prices have increased since we used her. We used Sally Gruman for DD's 18 months and DS' newborn photos (see below). I'm very happy with how they turned out and the pricing. We'll be using her for DD's 2 year and DS' 6 months.

We used Footloose Photography and really liked her!
She gave us a CD that had 38 pictures for $125.00. She spent a little over an hour with us and we went to two different locations.
I also considered Leah Maria Photograhy. She was $150.00 and you got the CD also.
I might try her for our daughters 9 month pictures.
We couldn't afford a photographer so we went to Target's portait studio to get done Clementine's newborn, 4months, 8months, and 12months. We probably will be going back in, in 2months to do her 18month photos. I think they do a nice job and the prices are very good.
I know traditionally people do newborn 0, 3, 6, 9, 12 but we couldn't really swing that so we did what we could so I that's why we did it little differently of the every 4months instead of 3months.

General Portrait Package (Families, Newborns, Babies, Children, Engagement, Business, etc.)- $60
What You Get: The cost includes a photo CD, which holds the photos captured at our session together, so that you are free to print out as many copies as you want, of whatever photos you want. On each CD is both a color copy and a black & white copy of each image.
