anyway.. as a matter of fact, we did today. my H prefers when I'm on my lighter days, just because when it's heavy he kinda gets grossed out. I'm always extremely horny when I'm on my period.
it's perfectly safe.. just as long as your H is ok with it. if you don't like shower sex then just put down a towel underneath you, but I've never had it get THAT messy.

there's nothing "wrong" about it (but personally, my DH gets completely grossed out, so we tend not to, or do it in the shower).
ETA: I feel like I should clarify, he just doesn't like blood in general, doesn't matter what kind of blood, just anything freaks him out
Just a word of caution though, you CAN get pregnant on your period. A lot of women think you can't (and a lot have argued with me about this), but if you couldn't, I wouldn't exist....I was an "oopsie" - sorry if TMI :-p

I am most horny when I am on my period, so that is when we do it the most. For some reason I stop bleeding during intercourse and start back up afterwards. So weird.
Basic biology lesson here. You can get pregnant IF you ovulate & sperm fertilizes this egg which successfully implants in your uterus. Given perfect sperm-friendly conditions (EWCM), sperm can live up to 5 days (very unlikely but possible). It is theoretically possible to have a long period (say 8 days & sex on cd 8), have sperm-friendly cervical fluid after this (crazy hormones or pre-seed), ovulate on day 13 and conceive. This is extremely unlikely though.
Uninformed women only remember when they had sex & therefore conclude you can get pregnant on your period. You actually conceived days later when the egg was fertilized.
I'm pretty sure that's what she meant, but didn't go into the details of it. So yes, if you don't use a condom while having sex on your period and you are not using other kinds of birth control you can get pregnant "on your period" even if you conceive a few days later.
As for us, we usually do it while I'm on my period. I always want a lot of sex on those days and we just put a dark towel down. It actually freaked me out more than him the first time.
I was just trying to simply state that you still need to use a condom (or whatever your choice of BC method is). I'm just surprised at the number of women I talk to who think it's OK not to use any protection on their period. It may be more unlikely, but it is definitely possible to be in a position to coneive. (if that's a better wording - hehe)

This. I always want it more during my period but the longer we've been together my husband is okay with waiting til I'm done or at least lighter to do it. I usually try wine to help him forget.
Why would it be bad?
I think people are pansies about this. I am at my most horny when I'm bleeding, and we have awesome sex then. Imo, quit being pansies, lay down a towel and get it on.
