Ugh. I am just so ticked right now. I need to share this story - sorry ladies.
About 3 weeks ago, I'm at the mall and decide to look in the JCP Home department for some new curtain panels. They had the grommet panels I always look at on sale for a great price, but they don't carry most of the colors in stock - you have to order them.
I order 4 panels at the store and they tell me they'll be here in 3 days. A week and a half later, I still haven't recieved a call so I call the store myself and they tell me "they just came on the truck today." DH and I go to pick them up last Monday...I open the package and three of the panels match but the 4th is a different color. (They are labeled the same but came from a different dye lot, making them look completely different.) At this point, I'm annoyed - why would you give someone 4 non-matching panels? The lady tells me "it might be the lighting." Helllllooooo - these panels right in front of me are under the same light! Duh!
So, I have them reorder the panels, this time making a "special order" note that says "Please make sure all panels match and come from the same dye lot." They were to be at the store by Friday. I call Friday and they were not on that day's truck, it will probably be Monday. On Monday I was told Tuesday and on Tuesday, they changed it to Wednesday....
The lady I spoke with Tuesday was nice enough to call the warehouse for me and find out if it had been shipped. She said it was shipped on the 14th, but they had no way of finding it. She also told me if it did not arrive on Wednesday, she would reorder it to be one-day delivered to my house. I called today and they were in....only they still did not match! The lady just looked at me and said "Well, you saw me put the special order in! I don't know what else I can do for you."
The lady calls and finds out that they have missed today's deadline for one-day shipping so it will be placed tomorrow. She then informs me that 1-day-shipping takes THREE days. After wasting my entire lunch at JCP, I told them to just refund me my money and that I would take it elsewhere.
Maybe I should have waited another week but I just don't think it should take a month and 3 orders to get it right...and I wasn't so sure they wouldn't get it wrong again. I left livid and honestly, I will probably not shop there ever again.
*Sorry. This may be a completely useless story but it makes me feel better to tell someone about it. Thanks girls!

Ugh, that is so annoying! I'd be so pissed!! I've had my share of frustration with JCP myself, so I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one at least

I would be ticked off too! They are a huge company and they really should have better customer service. I think you were smart to take your business elsewhere. GL!
That totally sucks!
I think this is a major breakdown in the way big corporations do business and train employees. See, how many people do you think will read this and then have a negative view of JCP? And how many people have you told this story to in person? How many people are those people going to tell? It goes on & on. But it's been proven that people rarely pass on good or positive reviews/experiences.
I hope you can get your curtains elsewhere & in a timely fashion!
