Man oh man those pork thai lettuce wraps are tasty, but I managed to get jalapeno oil under some of my nails. Owie. It's still burning.
I'm hoping to get away from work a little early today for some shoe/accessory shopping. My inability to walk in heels of much height severely limits my shoe options (also my cheapness).
Tonight I'll be hitting the gym, then I think we're off to Home Depot to get some insulation (and maybe 2x8's and plywood) since basement finishing materials are on sale this weekend.
What's everyone else up to today?

Ouch on the jalapeno burn - I hate that, and you never actually realize it until it's too late.
I'm hoping to get away a little early today as well, mostly because I feel a cold coming on. But also because I still have to clean up our flat before my mom arrives tomorrow. I just hope that she makes it out ok tonight - Newfoundland seems to still be cleaning up after it got hit by Igor this week. My parents are without power, but hopefully the airport is up and running.

My favorite is green chile or jalapeno on the contact lenses. Ouch.
Today is my Friday, so I'm hoping to get out of here at 4 and go get new phones. DH is moving to my cell carrier, so he needs a new phone and they're having a 2-for-1 sale.

That hurts just thinking about it. I got some under my nose, that then managed to get in my nose while trying to clean it off. But in the eye?? Wow that would suck.

I can't believe this week is still going on. It has been the longest week ever.
I am going to spend all day mailing out materials that people have requested through our website. It requires very little brain power, which is good.

It's looks like it's gonna be a pretty relaxing day for me. I just have school and mariachi practice tonight. We have to learn some songs for a mass we are doing on Saturday. I hope we can finish learning all the songs today.

Yesterday V accidentally ate a whole red chili. He did NOT look happy.
Last night I went for a run and then choir practice. Note to self: Do not attempt to run and sing Beethoven's 9th in the same evening again. The symphony is friggin high.
Tonight I'm flying out to Saskatchewan for work, returning tomorrow night.

I just bought the Azulay from Aldo shoes. I have a semi-wide foot and can't do super high heels for work. These seem to have done the trick. The wonky sizing is a bit off, so read the reviews. I wear a 9, which translates to a 40. I don't see them online, so they might not be available anymore. I got them for under $30. I think there's a similar style under their sale section.

Good (late) morning! Dealing with interweb issues over here again so my connection keeps dropping. Good times. The techs are coming out for the third time in a week tomorrow. DC people: anyone have Comcast? Is it any better than Verizon?
Going to the gym and trying to get this document done so I can go outside and play for a while.
Is it the weekend yet? This had to be the longest week, ever. I don't have a ton to do at work, but am trying to look busy. Sometimes it's harder than it seems.
I found a new mall last night that I had no idea was near my office. I think I'm venturing over there at lunch to see what's there. I saw for sure Restoration Hardware, Express and a Pub, which just might take up my lunch hour.
I woke up today wondering how is it only Thursday? I'll be at work all day today. My mom invited us over for dinner tonight and I can't wait. She's been cooking my favorite meals at least once a week now and I'm starting to get spoiled.
Even though I'm still taking it easy, I'm going to take Bailey for a short walk. Just to the corner of the block and back. I'm so tired of laying down and sitting and my back is killing me. I can't wait for the spotting to stop so I can finally start doing things around the house and get some walking in.
I've got a day with kids in the library working in the computer labs, which is always nice and relaxing for me! We're heading to Ottawa tonight (playing hookey from school tomorrow) to hang with his parents (and mine) there.

Ahh, I was up early today and off to an eye appointment - now my pupils are dialated like crazy and just looking at the laptop screen is giving me a headache. Ugh.
Tonight, I work at five, probably until about ten or eleven. Tonight is Grey's and Private Practise, I can't wait!

I'm not in DC, but from what I hear about Verizon (I have Comcast), it's really just a different evil. Both companies suck up here in the Northeast. Comcast is faster, though, and they now guarantee services and such, so that might be a better option. For instance, now that it's your 3rd visit, they would have to start crediting your account for services.
Thankfully, we haven't had too many issues with them recently, but it has not been fun, and they're super expensive if you ask me. I keep telling myself we should switch to satellite, but I just can't seem to pull the plug.
Thanks, snoopy. I kind of figured it was just dancing with another devil. I priced out Comcast this morning and it looks like it would be cheaper, even after the promo rate's over, for phone and internet. I guess we'll see what happens after tomorrow's fix -- our power flickered, didn't even go out, and there's now another problem on our line according to Verizon. Crappy infrastructure, even after repairs.
