So I'm in my friend's wedding this weekend, and all of the members of the bridal party are being asked to say something at the rehearsal dinner. Like a good wish, funny story, etc...
Since I'm pretty bad at telling jokes or retelling funny stories, I thought I'd share a nice (short) passage or saying about love/marriage - any suggestions????
Re: i need your help ladies!
A nice thoughtful toast is always good.
One of my favorite things that people say at wedding is
"My greatest wish for the two of you is that through the years your love for each other will so deepen and grow, that years from now you will look back on this day, your wedding day, as the day you loved each other the least"
you can also look up wedding toasts online
Courtney's suggestion was great.

Thanks girls!!! I found something funny - I'm not an overly sappy person, and I think the B&G will appreciate a little humor - What do you think??? I think this is hilarious!
Yes, I?ll marry you, my dear,
And here?s the reason why;
So I can push you out of bed
When the baby starts to cry
And I hear a knocking
And it?s creepy and it?s late
I hand you the torch you see
And you investigate
Yes I?ll marry you my dear
And you may not apprehend it
But when the tumble dryer goes
It?s you that has to mend it
You have to face the neighbour
Should our roggie cat attack him
And if a drunkard fondles me
It?s you that has to whack him
Yes I?ll marry you
You?re virile and you?re lean
Your house is like a pigsty
I?ll help you keep it clean
That sexy little dinner
Which you served by candle night
As I do the chappatis you can cook it every night
It?s you who has to work the drill
And put up curtain track
And when I?ve got a migraine its you who gets the flack
I do see great advantages
But none of them for you
And so before you see the light
I do! I do! I do!
I think that is a cute idea for your friend to day. Should be funny to hear some of the stories that come out of it.
Is there a movie that they love? There are some good quotes and passages in The Notebook, When Harry Met Sally, or any other chick flight ever made. Maybe a wedding themed movie? It might add something different.
Good luck! Let us know what you come up with!
thanks for the ideas! I'm definitely going go the funny route...I'm much better at that then "sappy"...
