Cleaning smooth top stove
What is the best product to clean a smooth top stove? DH cooked bacon without using the splatter shield and now I cannot get the greasy streaked look to go away. I've tried hot soapy water, 409, Cerama Bryte, and nothing makes the grease go away! Also, I burned some boiling potatoes and that has left a spot that will not go away. I don't want to scrub too hard for fear of scratching.
Re: Cleaning smooth top stove
Here's what I do...
Wipe down stove top with sponge so that it's really wet. Then sprinkle baking soda over all the tough spots. Wait for it all to dry, I usually go on to other cleaning and come back to it. Then scrub away with a sponge. Make sure you get everything really wet then soak up with a towel once you're satisfied with how clean it is (otherwise you'll get white baking soda streaks). It works wonders
