Recommend your headphones please
Specifically, I need a pair of headphones I can wear while working out. The ones that came with my iPhone don't stay in my ear.

I had the same problem. These are what I currently use. Much more comfortable. The adapter to use any earphones/headphones with the iPhone is just a few bucks.

I have an ipod and didn't need an adapter. I'm not sure why the iphone would? I'm idumb, though, so who knows.
Anywho, I just use earbuds. I actually got them for free with a shaver. haha. I also can't use the little headphones that came with my ipod. I have something like this.

I do have to adjust them a bit if I get bouncing on my run too much, but for the most part they're good.
I use Skull Candy earbuds. They stay in my ears and I usually can't find ear buds that fit in my ears. They kind of stick like suction cups.

Mine came with 3 different sizes, which is awesome. I have to use 2 different sizes, I guess my ears are not the same. I don't think I can ever use anything other than skull candy anymore, they are really durable too.
