As I've perused the wedding photos of old friends and acquaintances on FB, it's occurred to me that a lot of them are still closest to their HS friends.
My HS friends came to my wedding, but (except 1 or 2) they would have been the first to go if I had had to cut anyone else.
So, where did you meet your BMs?
Me: one was a friend from undergrad and another was from church.

Re: Poll about your BP
We each only had one person stand up with us. My MOH and I met in 3rd grade. DH had known his BM since pre-school.
BP for my mistake marriage included same MOH, 2 friends from HS (who I actually still talk to and see every year and they were at my 2nd wedding as guests) and my 2 SIL's. This was to accomodate ex-H's crazy, drama filled, men's side.
MOH and I became best friends in junior high. I met one of my other BM in undergrad and the other one in grad school.
Other than my MOH, I don't talk to anybody else I knew in HS.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
I was really confused as to why you wanted to know about our blood pressures....
My MOH was my step sister, and BMs were a friend from undergrad (who I haven't now talked to since, like February) and my SIL.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Our wedding party members all were parts of our relationship/represented parts.
MOH: college (always reminded us how worth it all of this craziness is)
BM 1: college (introduced us/my college roommate)
BM 2: college (pledged together, a fellow mil wife)
BM 3: my sister
I've known both of mine all my life - they're quasi-cousins (family related by choice, not blood).
But, I'm still really close to my high school friends! We drifted apart in university, but always made it a priority to see each other at Christmas time. Now we see each other 4 times a year (since we live across Ontario, that's pretty good).

Yeah, Paul and I don't have any real friends from high school anymore.
My MOH was my best friend since we were seven. My two bridesmaids were my other best friend I met at a job, when we were 18, and the other was my sister.
Paul's best man was his best friend, they met in college. I'm not even sure how he met the other two guys, but he's known them like six or seven years.

The first thing I thought was blood pressure too!
I had 6 BMs...
My sister, my daughter, and four friends. One friend I met through her sister when I was 13, two I met in high school, and one I met through mutual friends about 8 years ago.
My sister was my MOH. My bridesmaid and I shared an office when both worked for the same company.
I don't keep in touch with my HS friends anymore. They married way earlier than I did, so we started having less and less in common years ago.
My Bridal Party was made up of my SIL and two college friends. My MOH we roughed it out through some crazy times in design school. A few 72 hour days that made us be like zombies really brings people together.
My other BM is a friend of both DH and I we've known her almost as long as we've been together.
This made me laugh cause I wasnt thinking bridal party either.
) I was thinking ball python not blood pressure though.
MOH & 1 Bridesmaid- went to school with since 4th grade.
1 bm- babysat and grew up with her as the little sister I never had. Turned out her Mom and DH's dad are first cousins, total coincidence.
3 bms- SILs
1 bm- good friends with since high school. I actually met her through her cousin who I was best friends with and no longer speak to.

I had a huge BP, which included 8 bridesmaids.
MOH and two BM's were my three closest friends, two that I met in Jr. High and one in HS. Another is a friend and also the wife of one of the GM. Another was one of my cousins who I'm close with. The other three were my two SIL's and DH's niece. If it had been only my choice, the BP would have included just the first five girls.

I had a pretty large wedding party.
MOH - I met her in pharmacy school and became great friends
BM1 - friend I met in grade 7. Still close and are running the half marathon together
BM2 - friend that I met in 1998 working at the movie theater. I see her probably once a week
BM3 - met in grade school and became great friends in highschool. She doesn't live here but we keep in touch
BM4 - my SIL
BM5 - my brothers girlfriend. They've been together something like 8 years.
Ha ha, I was thinking the same thing!
Anyhow, Mine was as follows:
MOH: My sister, Man of honor: My best friend Jamie. BM1 My niece, BM2 a friend of mine that I met after high school.
BM 1 & 2, my DH brothers, and Groomsmen 1 & 2, DH friends. One was from high school, and the other he met through me years ago!
My MOH is a friend that sort of came into my life and changed it for the better, then never left. At our wedding, I think we'd only been friends for about 2 years. I wouldn't have had it any other way. She now dates DH's best friend. She used to date a different friend of ours. She was also in law school with me.
BM1- law school friend, BM2 - friend for when I worked at the restaurant in college, BM3 - friend and one of the GM's wives, BM4 - SIL
All of the groomsman were either college friends or worked with DH, his brother was his BM.
My MOH was my younger sister
BM - 1 youngest sister
BM -2 older sister
BM-3 my cousin
BM-4 Friend since 6th grade.
I was supposed to have one more BM, but she was 8 months pregnant and the doctor wouldn't allow her to fly. She is was one of my good friends from HS.
