Re: deep clean- what do you do?

  • Short version:

    Living Room-

Wipe off all surfaces (including base boards)

Have carpets and furniture cleaned professionally

    Kitchen-

    Clean stove

Clean fridge (I wipe down weekly, but I'm talking deep cleaning)

Clean microwave & other small appliances

    Wipe off baseboards

Clean out all cabinets & wipe down interiors & exteriors

    Bedrooms/Office/Game Room-

    Wipe down all surfaces

    Have carpets professionally cleaned

    Clean out closets/dressers/desks/etc

    Bathroom-

    Clean all surfaces

Pull out behind washer & dryer

    Outside-

    Clean windows

    Spray off siding/sidewalks

Do outside checks (for foundation cracks, for example)

Most things are done every month with the exception of the last 2 outside checks and the carpet cleaning. That's done every 6 months.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I use a guide from Real Simple and do it once a month.
