Help planning a surprise party
Hi! I was wondering if you guys would mind helping me out. I am planning a surprise 35th birthday party for a girlfriend of mine in Austin in a couple of weeks. The only problem is that I am not from the area and don't know where we should go for the evening fun. My friend has mentioned this site before and has gotten really great feed back and has even made some good friends so I was hoping you would be able to help me and give me some ideas. I would love to take her to a great, low-key bar with a great atmosphere (she doesn't want to do the 6th st. scene anymore). Do you have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!
Elizabeth
Re: Help planning a surprise party
Lavaca Street Bar at 4th & Lavaca is a good, low-key bar. They have pizza, as well.
If the weather is nice, I am a huge fan of Cedar Street Courtyard. They usually have good bands and people don't show up until shortly before the music starts, so you'd probably have the whole area to yourselves.
We have gone to a lot of birthday parties at the Highball. Usually for Karoke. You can rent a room for an hour or two in advance, or a bowling alley lane.
