Re: halloween costumes
Nope. Neither of us a big halloween fans so we don't do the whole costume thing. Plus we're not going to a party or anything so it wouldn't make sense for us to just dress up for nothing! We always carve pumpkins so we'll do that and we actually have friends that we met on the HM coming to visit us that weekend. We've thought about taking them to a jack-o-lantern display at one of the zoos nearby...it looks pretty freaking awesome!!
Our friends are having a get-together, and there's always a swing dance the Friday or Saturday before, so we definitely need a costume.
We're going as peanut butter and jelly. We like to be something together, and it has to be a danceable costume, and I don't have high enough self-esteem to wear something wacky. So he'll wear a peanut-butter-colored shirt and I will wear a purple one. Then we'll attach felt bread shapes to our backs. Kinda stole the idea from that Nest article a while back, but I like it!
DH has a big exercise in the woods with the army that weekend, so I don't think we'll need a reason to get costumes.
A few years ago, we dressed up as each other and went to my work party. I was in his army greens and he wore my work uniform. He had a blonde wig and put a pillow in his pants as my bum. We won a BBQ as best costume!
It's also Zoe's first Halloween. She's being a ladybug. I've had her costume since Aug 09, lol!!

I wanted to be a bride and groom so I could wear my dress again, but cleaning it cost $350 so DH vetoed that costume choice!! I don't know what we are being now!
