My Generation
Is anyone else watching? It might be because I was class of 2000, but I'm totally loving it!
I just hope it doesn't go the way of the other shows I'd group with this (ahem, My So Called Life) and get canceled before its time!

I actually haven't heard much about it, but my husband was a huge My So Called Life fan (and Party of Five), so maybe I should give it a look.

DH and I really liked it. It is a mockumentary, which I think turns some people off but the stories are good and I'm really interested in a few of the characters. I'd definitely give it a shot.
They did a great job of showing how world events have effected our generation (the 2000 elections, 9/11, Enron).
My only annoyance (and this isn't something other people might notice) is that one of the characters works for a Member of the U.S. House...but her badge looks nothing like our staff badges and her office has a view of the Capitol that is impossible from any of the House Office Buildings...it would only be possible from the Library of Congress, if there were offices up in the attic! I kept calling out their mistakes and it was making DH mad
. Not to mention, the likelihood she'd even have an office with a view of the Capitol is slim to none. (But I might just be jealous because I work in a basement).

Haha, that's hilarious. That's totally something I would do. You might be interested to know that at the end of "The Sound of Music," when they show the family crossing through the mountains into Switzerland, that the Swiss border is nowhere near Salzburg. The mountains they crossed over near Salzburg would have led them into Germany.
And if they had made it to the Swiss border, it would have made a lot more sense for them to pass through the northern lowlands than the mountainous southwest. There's nothing of interest in southwest Switzerland.
On a similar note, I actually can't stand watching travel shows, or "international" shows ("Ghost Hunters International," "House Hunters International," etc) where the people mispronounce the name of the city. I minored in German and have spent a great deal of time in Germany, and hearing some of the mispronunciations is like nails on a chalkboard. I swear to God I heard Munich pronounced "Mew-nitch" once. *sobs*
