Parenthood
I'm not sold on this show. I'm not sure I love the characters, especially Lorelei Gilmore in this setting. Does Lauren Graham ever not play Lorelei Gilmore?

LG is on the cover of this month's Redbook and she said it's a different single mother, but I feel like she's Lorelai here too. Just too used to it I think.
I like the show, didn't LOVE last night. I don't get why Adam & Christina had to keep that kid there. I also don't get why the lawyer sister is SUCH an a-hole. She has no people skills whatsoever. Most of the lawyers I know have very good people skills- that's how they get away with taking so long to get sh*t done. They schmooze. This one just sounds like a schmuckk.
I'm hooked on the show too, without much real explanation for why.
I think I dislike Jasmine and Adam's wife (Christina?) most. She treats him like a child and dude seriously needs to tell his family to STFU if he wants to keep a job.
Yeah, Adam leaves his balls at home every day. I don't know why he bothers to go work at all. His entire day consists of solving family problems. He needs to start an ebay business buying up Halloween costumes so he has more time on his hands and he can be his own boss.
Dax is good. I like him more after hearing him on Stern the other day.
I like Lorelai's daughter the best. Ror...er, I mean Mae Whitman. (I don't know her name in the show). I just think she's the most interesting. And I like the lawyer's husband.
I didn't watch until last night, but I wanted to join in...so I'm bringing this thread up to the top...
I don't see Lorelei at.all. Lorelei was much more independent. In Parenthood, she is just so broken. So, I give her two thumbs up.
Since the first episode, I have been surprised by how much I like Dax. I just expected him to suck, but I think he is really the brightest spot in the show.
It really irks me how Jasmine treats him and his relationship with Jamar. She just treats him like a babysitter/booty call. They are clearly setting up a storyline for a meltdown of that relationship, and I can't wait.
