s/o Broken Spoke

Where is there a good place to get boots that isn't too pricey?  I want something cute and comfy that I can wear under boot cut jeans or over skinny jeans and also with dresses.

Re: s/o Broken Spoke

  • My go-to shoe store is usually DSW, and they have a ton of boots right now.

I've seen Frye knock-offs at Target, but didn't look at them closely.

  • If you want cowboy boots, I think they have the cutest ones at Allen's. I know they have some $$$ ones there (ostrich and crocodile, anyone?), but I am not sure of the price range. There's an Allen's on S. Congress.

  • Allens does have some super cute boots, but everything in that store is pricey I think.  I got a pair from Cavenders for about $100 that I think are really cute.  Also I have seen some cowboy boots at DSW, that would probably be your cheapest option.

  • i bought my first pair from allen's this summer. it was something like $150 and pretty plane jane (i'd have to work up some coverage for the ones with bright purple butterflies and whatnot).

just to see some really pretty boots, stop by heritage boots (they just moved from 8th & colorado to s. congress across from doc's). all handmade. really gorgeous. fit like a glove. but they're also $295 and up. oh and get half a size down. cowboy boots tend to run big.

  • There's a Cavender's near me in DFW so I might swing by there before I head down to Austin if I have time.  Otherwise, maybe I'll hit up Allen's.  Thanks!
