HiLadies~
NicholasJason was born last Thursday, September 16 at 12:55 am. This week hasbeen crazy getting adjusted to having a newborn around, but we are gettingthere and are totally in love
MyBP ended up going totally wacko on Tuesday September 14. By the time theyadmitted me to the hospital, my BP was 192/110 and they decided to induce meagain. We slept pretty well on Tuesday night and then hung out all day onWednesday waiting for me to dilate and for things to get going. I had theepidural around 6 pm. I think my biggest regret in the whole experiencewas getting the epi. Honestly, it hurt like helll when they put it in,and I didn't get much relief from it. Shortly after they put it in, my BPcrashed and they had to pump me full of ephedra to bring it back up. Oncethey got that regulated, I started to have really intense contractions and theepi couldn't keep up with the pain.
Startedto push at 11 pm. Although the nurse was really impressed with thequality of my pushing, baby was not making a ton of progress and it was takingforever. I ended up needing oxygen (which sucked) and pushed for almost 2hours. I don't think I had many more pushes in me before I would havebeen begging for a c/s. Finally the doctor came in and said he wanted totry to vacuum with my next push. Nextthing I know, baby boy was out! He is a bit of a peanut- was 6 lbs 12 ozand 19.5 inches long.
Therest of the hospital stay was pretty uneventful. We just spent much ofthe time enjoying him! Unfortunately I did end up with a second degreetear, but it hasn?t really been that painful. The pain of that is nothing compared to what I was feeling with thecontractions. I was also reallysore from all of the pushing but other than that the pain has not been toobad. I am still struggling with swellingand BP issues. 3 days ago I got on the scale and had only lost like 5 lbsbecause I am retaining so much water. I got put on BP meds yesterday andwas up all night peeing LOL. I just got on the scale and have lost likean additional 12 lbs so hopefully this medication helps me get rid of all ofthis swelling!
Anyway, here are some pictures of baby Nick.

Hopefully these are clicky!
Re: Baby Boy is here!
For whatever reason, my computer can't "find" the images since they are not clicky. Sorry you had a crazy birth experience, but he's here now and you can enjoy him. I'll keep trying to look at the pics. Enjoy him!
Well, I suck at PIP. Hopefully you can still get to the pics though. Otherwise just check out the album here:

Thank you
The first week has been kind of rough. We were really struggling with breastfeeding. He wouldn't latch right and was really hurting me. Plus he is extremely inpatient and it just wasn't working out. Decided a few days ago to throw in the towel and just start pumping and supplementing with formula and it was the best decision. Everybody is much happier and more relaxed now. My mom is also in town for the week from WI which has been really helpful. I think this week would have been much more difficult without her here!
Congrats! I was just thinking about you this morning and wondering what the countdown was. He is absolutely adorable!
He will grow so fast. Take it easy and just enjoy it! I know I spent hours each day just holding Amelia when she came home. Now that I am back to working full time I wish I could still hold her. I also pumped and added formula for the first few months because it was just so much easier. (She is on strictly formula now.)
