What tricks to get your whites whiter in the laundry?
I'm never ever happy with how bright my whites look after I do laundry.
What tricks (or products) do you use to when you do white laundry?

Make sure there aren't any off white or dark colored clothes going in with your whites ever!
Then you can try adding a little bleach to your load as well as vinegar, it works well as a fabric softener and it will keep your whites white
)

Powdered Tide with bleach (it's really bleach alternative) works the best IMO.
I only wash bright, clean whites together. For instance, white shirts do NOT get mixed with socks or anything that picks up dirt. I also don't wash whites with things that have a stripe of any other color. My mom always said to wash towels separately b/c they can rough up delicate fabrics.

bleach and oxy clean liquid in with the detergent
and if you can air dry in bright sun light...that will help too..

You must wash your white clothes twice--as my mom taught me:
1st wash your white clothes with laundry soap , oxy clean and NO Downey softener in COLD water
Then repeat the wash cycle----and used laundry soap, and some bleach or oxyclean with HOT water. And add Downey softener( I use bleach & oxy at same time)
dont wash the white towels with your white clothes..towels are much more coarse, thick and rugged for your white clothes.
I used to use this. Works just like oxy-clean!
I use Purex detergent, with a scoop of oxy clean and Clorox Ultimate Care Bleach.
Our whites practically glow.
