Hi ladies,
I just gotta vent. I lent my video camera to a family member a few weeks ago, apparently mine is better than his. Anyhoo, I needed it back to video my niece in her ukulele competition tomorrow, which is the reason I bought the camera in the first place. I don't have kids but yes I do like to video other stuff, my dogs, a family of birds nesting in a tree, my husband acting goofey. I guess he had the impression that I don't personally use the camera and he had the nerve to ask me why I needed it back. I didn't give it to him, I let him BORROW it. So, after a whole week of reminding him that I needed it back he drops it off this morning.........minus the lenses and my charger. I felt bad even looking in the bag knowing that something would be missing, I was hoping otherwise. I shouldn't have to ask for my stuff back, it should have been in the bag as it was when I lent it to him. I am so iratated right now.
On top of that I walk into my office this morning and it's a mess. Someone used it for a meeting last night and didn't bother to clean up after themselves. I pride in taking care of my stuff and keeping things neat. thank God it's Friday, I need a drink! and it's only 730am
Ok, vent au pau ![]()
Re: I haven't done this in a while
First - mimosas, bloody marys, and screw drivers are always appropriate for 730am.
Second - gah - that just sucks about your video camera. I hate people like that who have no respect for things they borrow. In addition to getting your video camera back, you should borrow his, even if it isn't as good, and let him worry about getting it back from you. I've become possesive of my toys for this very reason.
Third - can't stand when people leave messes that are not their own space. We have communal desks at work and I am constantly having to lysol to get things back to sanitary.
Hope you day goes by fast and you have a good weekend plans ahead.

Thanks ladies,
He did return the rest of my camera accessories, but asked to use the camera again that night for his son's football game. I do have the camera in my possesion again though, since I wasn't able to upload my video. I'm sure he will be asking to use it again. It's the hubs brother so how do I say no. I'm sure I'll figure it out. Again, thanks for letting me vent
