FU on FIL
He is awake finally and in some what of a decent mood. They are not going to test his blood anymore which has MIL annoyed. They are happy enough with how he is acting not to test his ammonia levels again. My MIL is considering transferring him to a hospital in Philly since she's not happy with the doctors. His hemoglobin levels are stable now, which is good. But his platelets have dropped horribly again. They are not sure why this is happening since he's not bleeding into his belly anymore. We are still at the hurry up and wait and see game...so freaking annoying!
Re: FU on FIL
I'm sorry things are in limbo. I am in remission for ITP, which is where you body doesn't make platelets, so I can understand the worry about the levels being low b/c of the clotting issues.
And if we learned anything from all of DH's neck issues, if you're not happy with the care, then get another opinion. Listen to your gut and do what's best for your FIL.
