One more reason to love DH...
I'd been eyeing the Merona Mertie Mary Janes (from Target, obv.) since I first saw them online. I couldn't decide if I wanted black (basic, can wear with almost anything) or the ruby red (gorgeous, fun pop of color, slightly more limited in what it matches).
Tonight we were at Target and I longingly tried on the shoes again. What was DH's response? "Oh, only $25 a pair? I'll buy both of them for you."
Ta-da!

I have this *same* problem with boots. It's miserable finding ones that are cute AND fit right. I always try boots on in person for this very reason. About two yeara ago (Fall '08), I found a pair from Nine West with a stretchy panel in the back -- I LOVE them!
Let me know if you find some cute ones this year. I have one pair of black boots that are pull-on and stretchy that my Mom got me for Christmas 3 years ago, and they're the only ones that fit.
