ignorant FB post...geesh!

A girl from my small hometown posted that she was in Austin yesterday and went to some music store and ended it with "Can I move here :)" jokingly. I responded with "haha...this place is muy expensive to live in! What store?"...just carrying on random conversation really and joking around.

Someone responded toward the end of her status thread with:

"rofl Anyone who says Austin's expensive to live in hasn't lived anywhere expensive! Christ, Boston blows anyplace here in Tejas out of the water but I'll be g0dd@mned if $1300/mo for a tiny-ass studio apartment is worth it!"

Umm...ok I didn't really get the point of her response but glad she clarified that I've never lived in Boston- I was totally afraid that I was giving off that impression.

Re: ignorant FB post...geesh!

  • yeah, every once in a while some friend of a friend will respond in a post with something totally inane.  i usually do what i would do in real life when someone says something completely stupid which is mutter something under my breath and move on.

  • Just ignore! I no longer comment on poeple's status. Poeple think they can be rude on the net, especially if you are not his/her friend on FB, just friend of friend and that's OK!! I don't get it! Netiquette and etiquette should be the same IMO.
