im sorry i dont check in as much as i used to.... i got moved to a new grade in school so its double the planning because its material im not used to. anyway, DH and i are having our families over tomorrow for a housewarming party and im exhausted! baking cookies, cleaning the house, doing a couple of loads of laundry.. i'm not used to all of this in one day! i guess i'm spoiled but im still getting used to managing my time as a housewife!

    Sounds fun and have a great time tomorrow hosting the party!

    I'm being such a terrible housewife, at least right now.  Our apartment is a D-U-M-P.  Seriously.  Since school started back, I haven't done any housework.  We've got papers everywhere and plates stacked high in the kitchen and piles of clothes, some clean some dirty.

    I purged our closet and dresser drawers this afternoon and mopped our hallway.  That's about it Embarrassed

    I've been SUPER into cleaning since we got back from the honeymoon.  I realized I had been shoving things in places throughout the wedding process, and that left a lot of closets looking...shameful.  I'm usually so tidy that this was a total wake-up call as to how planning a wedding can take over your life sometimes!

    Once I finished all the purging and paperwork stuff like Mrs.McD (sorry darling, I know you're louie now, but I can't think of you any other way!) I took a look at my clothes........and realized I needed a wardrobe overhaul, as I apparently have been wearing faded clothes with holes in them, looking like a teenager, and NO ONE told me! haha

    Put cleaning aside...Been shopping a lot...

    I've been slowly working my way through the house! Today we did our front entry way as it still needed to be repainted and then DH put a new shelf and bar up because the old ones weren't doing till well and then used the old shelf as a shoe rack on the bottom! Now everything is stashed away nice and neat and I even got DH to purge a few things! Now to continue tackling our mess of a kitchen! Ugh!

    Party sounds like fun!  I haven't been the best housewife ever lately, but I'm planning and making totally new curriculum for 6, 7, and 8th grade Language this year, so my free time is severely limited.  The last thing I want to do when I get home is clean, but today I'm going shopping for new window treatments for our living room.  The man who owned our house before us left the treatments, and they are literally porn star or Playboy mansion kind of curtains: black, fake-leather, hand-sewn floor to celing curtains.  Since JC Penney is having their fall home sale, I'm heading over and taking advantage of it and finally making our living room look less like a porno scene.

    Same here. Hubby's back at school, I'm back at school, our karate classes just started back up and both of us are working, so we're trying to figure out a fall routine for homework, work, and time together :/ At least we've gotten the wedding stuff taken care of and put away/purged.
