I can't believe that within a few days, all of us ladies will start hitting our big one year anniversary marks! Thought it would be kinda fun/interesting to recap who got married when.
I'll start.
Our anniversary is October 17th.
Re: Anniversaries!
17th here!
October 10th!
We have plans to spend the night in the hotel where we spent our wedding night, but I have no idea what to get hubby or if I'm even going to get him anything.

October 3rd!
We are keeping it low-key. We'd thought about going away for the weekend, but I've been so tired and physically uncomfortable the past few days we don't want to risk wasting our time and money! I guess it is a nice dinner out somewhere local (we'll probably travel into DC since I avoid it like the plague on the weekend and DH always wants to go check out the restaurants!).

October 10th! We booked a weekend (well, Sunday, Mon, and Tuesday) at a lodge in a state park. Fall leaves, hiking, and a big fireplace...yes please!
Ours is the 17th. I can't believe how fast it's coming up!!
We're going to keep it low-key, since we're going away the next weekend (not for our anniversary though). I'm going to recreate our reception dinner, and then we'll eat our top tier of cake, and enjoy that nice bottle of champagne we've been saving that we got as a gift.
Just remembered this board! October 10th... the hotel we were married at gives us a free dinner so that is all we are doing! We are broke lol
Kudos to you guys for keeping the top tier a year!! We made it to one month and decided to dig in! Haha! Although, even at that point it was on it's way to stale, frozen and all.
Did a lot of other people keep their top tier?
My daughter's is October 9. She works at VCU and that is a big parent type weekend, so she has to work. The idea of recreating their reception dinner is cute though, I'll have to tell her that one!
Her deal with the cake people includes a top tier for their first anniversary. All they have to do is call and order!
Now that is a great gift!! Congrats
Ours is next weekend...the 3rd!
The hubby is in school and commutes home only on the weekends and I am in grad school every other Saturday. With all that going on, we can't get away this weekend.
I'm making the hubby plan something...and he SAYS he has planned something but it's a surprise. We'll see on Sunday.
I hope all of you girls have a great time and enjoy your anniversaries!
October 10th
No plans here yet. I am sure we will get a babysitter for the 2 older boys and go out to eat with the baby.
Ours is the 31st! Halloween yay. The Mr is planning a top secret trip for the 1,2,3 of November. He figured if we went away during the week instead of the weekend it would be less busy. I have no idea where we are going or what we are doing but it should be fun.
We did not save our cake. It was to good at the time and we pigged out!
October 10th!
We're celebrating by going to Chicago for the weekend, Friday - Monday. We're visiting with several friends who either live there or will be in town that weekend for the Chicago marathon. We even sprung for a hotel downtown (instead of sleeping on our friends' air mattress) so we'll still have some romance...
