I just found out that my friend went into premature labor late last night and lost her twins at 21 weeks. She suffered a heart attack and had to be revived. She is currently on a ventilator and not breathing on her own. The doctors are saying there will be brain damage but they don't know how much/severe it will be. She is only 28 years old. She recently (within the last 2 years) got married to a wonderful man who has 3 children. He lost his first wife to Cancer. As you can imagine the kids are terrified that they will lose their mommy again.

Re: Prayers/Thoughts etc
Oh my goodness. That's terrible. I will definitely say some prayers for her.
Call or text if you need to talk at any point.

This just breaks my heart. Her family is in my prayers.
This so sad and so scary! I will keep them in my prayers and thoughts. I can't imagine what her husband must be going through right now.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. They recceived some good news this morning. She definitely isn't out of the danger zone yet but some good news is still awesome. This is a text I received this morning, "They gave meds last night to sedate her because her breathing became distressed-maybe agitated from tubes? So not really looking for her to wake up while on meds. They want to keep her calm and have minimal stimulation right now.The night nurse thinks she saw her open eyes last night. The neurologist got response this morning when he checked for pupil dilation. Good sign. She did not have response yesterday. I did go into see her for few minutes with her mom. She had good color. Lovely pink cheeks!"
That's very good news, Allison! Keep us posted on her progress. Still praying for her and hoping for a 100% recovery.
This is today's message, "Today has started rough. No horrible news but no news that has made us feel better. They will start dialysis to clean her blood today. They will repeat the brain wave test (EEG) today as well."
Up down up down, I feel awful for the family for having to be on this ride. She had an amniotic embolysm which is where the amniotic fluid gets into the blood stream and stops the lungs from functioning and then stops the heart.
