Circle Furniture? - or other furniture store recs?

Hi ladies,

Has anyone here had any experience buying furniture from Circle Furniture?  We went on a search for a couch/sectional over the weekend and the one that seemed to be the best as far as comfort goes was an American Leather brand couch from Circle Furniture.  I haven't purchased furniture from them before and I honestly haven't heard of American Leather either.

We're looking for a solid sectional (hubby has a BAD back).  Our current set is a Rowe from Jordan's and it really has not held up well at all.  We had to replace the cushions 2 years in and they are sagging again.  We don't mind spending more $ for something that will hold up better.  So, any recs for good furniture stores/brands would be grea too.  We looked at Ethan Allen (no luck), Lay-z Boy and Circle over the weekend.  Oh, and we're actually not looking for a leather couch due to the doggie claws in our house.  The American Leather one comes in other fabrics.

 TIA!

Re: Circle Furniture? - or other furniture store recs?

  • We shopped at every furniture store known to man when we first moved back here two years ago (at least it seemed like it--we literally went to about two dozen places, everything from bargain basement cheap places to Roche Bobois).  One of our couches came from Macy's, the other from Jordan's (from the outlet section--such a good deal).

I tend to like Jordan's Furniture's selection, but Boston Interiors is also good for contemporary styles that aren't crazy expensive.  Their couches are a mixed bag in terms of quality though so do your research (I heard mixed things about Rowe when I was researching a chair of theirs that BI sold).

If you don't mind spending the money, I think Crate & Barrel couches generally get good reviews.  Not sure about Pottery Barn.  You might ask over on D&R about the big chain stores. A friend of ours also had great luck with buying a section from Overstock.com.

I will never buy from Ethan Allen after my sister's horrid experience with their (lack of) customer service.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • We just got some great living room furniture from Macy's.  They had a great selection, and I thought the prices were fair.  We have also had pretty good luck at JC Penney.  Our previous living room set was from Jordan's and overall we were happy with it, but we needed something new and we could not find what we were looking for at Jordan's.
  • We have a sectional from Jordan's, and we love it. It's microfiber, so it's super easy to clean, and has really help up through a LOT of doggie claws (our own dog and 5 foster dogs!)

My father just bought an awesome sectional from Cardis. Great couch, and great price!

I don't know anything about Circle furniture. Good luck!

  • Well, we took the plunge and bought the sectional from Circle Furniture.  We'll see how it goes..
