Bwhahahaha guy who bought my car

We finally sold the miata after having it listed and up all summer long about three weeks ago.

Timot saw it on the way to work this AM.  Says "Excellent condition"

HA fat chance buddy....you can still see timot and I's bad paint job and all the rust still around the wheels.

He's asking $2800.  BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

*deep breath*

BWHAHAHA

That's hilarious.  We sold it to him for $1500 and really we kinda made out as it was.

He says "New brakes and new clutch..." well no *** sherlock timot and I did that...haha

It's just funny.  I hope someone actaully knows what they are doing and doesn't buy that car for that much.  it's worth maybe $1300 if he hasn't actually done any work to it.

And there is an oil leak that I told him about...I bet he didn't fix it.

Re: Bwhahahaha guy who bought my car

  • oh, man. Yea someone will probably come buy it thinking they are getting a steal on it.

  • Do you think maybe he fixed it up? Ron does that all the time ... buys cars cheap and then fixes them up and re-sells them. We usually make a pretty good profit. He of course doesn't sell a sh!tty car to anyone.
  • There is no WAY that car is in excellent condition.

To begin with it has over 240,000 miles.

There is an oil leak near the clutch.  It's only about a hundred to fix (quote from the dealer) BUT the labor is over a half day because you have to remove the engine. (our other car guy told us that) min $800 so sayth the dealer and my car guy.

There is also a bad window motor.  That's a $200 junkyard part.  Mazda doesn't carry or make them anymore and they have been back ordered since at least Nov-ish of last year.

The heat doesn't work.  Iv'e had my guy look at it a few times.  It works over 40 degree's.  Once it gets cold it only blows tempid...not hot air.  He's looked at it several times and replaced the thermostat and all sorts of stuff but we've never been able to figure that out.

The antena needs to be fixed.  The general car needs some body work, rust all over the bottom, the armbar/winshield needs to be looked at possibly replaced.  The rust has pushed the windshield up to the point that it's sorta resting on the car not so much in the car.

Needs a new canopy top, there are scratches around....nothing deep and that a coat of paint and some buffing wouldn't fix...

But he didn't.  It looks exactly like I sold it to him (according to timot).

It's just sad because it's a really nice car and wouldn't take a lot to fix.

The engine is solid and so is the trany.  i've never had any issues with that.
