What part of Cincy or Kentucky do you live in and do you like it?
For example I live in Spingfield Township and hate it.. looking/wanting to move and I am trying to get ideas on where the good neighborhoods are.

I'm in Maineville (technically Hamilton Township) and we are pretty happy here. It's not our forever place but we had decided that when we bought it. Right now, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone with kids or planning kids because the schools (Little Miami) were just taken over by the State.
We bought out here because we got a lot of house for our buck and the area was growing. We had planned on staying for 5-7 years. Just as we were talking/thinking about moving, the housing bubble popped so we decided to ride it out (we basically lost all of our equity) then this crap happened with the schools. Fortunately we don't need to move for any reason so we'll be riding the next wave before thinking about moving.

We live in Dayton, KY. I really like it. We're right on the Bellevue/Dayton border, and can walk to shops, restaurants, and a grocery store from our house. We're also only about 3 blocks from the river, and I love running/walking on the flood wall - very scenic.
We wanted an old house with character, which we got (for what we consider a great price). We also knew that the development that started in Newport and spread down to Bellevue would eventually come down to Dayton as well, which would only mean good things for our property value.
I will say that if we had kids, we may not love it as much, but we're a little undecided in that area still, so not a big deal currently.
We moved to Madeira in February and love it so far. We were in Hyde Park for just over 4 years and really wanted to buy there or in Mt. Lookout but just didn't find what we were looking for. We decided to broaden our search and ended up in Madeira. We can still walk everywhere, have several parks and walking trails close by, lots of great shops & restaurants, and the schools are great. While we do miss Hyde Park, Madeira is a great area and we'll probably stay here for as long as we live in cincy.

We live in Bethel and aside from the lack of a decent grocery, I like it. I enjoy having lots of land and doing our own thing. The drive's not too bad, only 20 min to work or 40ish minutes to downtown. Never traffic on the roads we drive- much rather drive a bit longer than sit in traffic. When we do have kids, they will NOT go to schools here, but I do not have a problem with private schools.
Originally we were planning on this being our starter home, then buying more land and building a log home. Problem is, to get too much more land with what we want, we'd be farther out and I am not willing to do that. Northernish Kentucky could be an option. Now we are thinking just remodel this and buy land/ house out West and split time between the two. We'll see; not a reality now so plenty of time to decide
We live in South Covington which is between Taylor Mill and Independence. I built this house with my ex 11 years ago. It's nice to be able to go out and sit on the deck and watch the deer in the evenings but we're only 5 minutes from 275 and 10 minutes from 75. We also have a large fenced in yard for the dog.
But now we need to find "our" home. Since it looks like kids aren't in the picture (we're both 41) we're hoping to find an older home in Covington or Newport. We love the idea of being able to walk to dinner at some of our favorite restaurants or hop on the Southbank Shuttle and head over to the Reds game.
