Healing thoughts, please

Weekend before last, I noticed a nump on my dog Nova's side.  I couldnot get her back here until Wednesday to get her to the vet.  At her appt, he said it was just a collision injury, basically a bruise, and that the clotting prevented the fluid from draining.  He used a HUGE syringe and pulled out most of the fluid.   H and I had NO idea what happened to her and felt horrible that we had no idea.

On Saturday, we were playing frisbee outside with the dogs.   Two of them wrestled over it, but nothing abnormal and nothing major.  Just both jumped for it, growling, barking, and it was over. About an hour later I noticed a small bump under Nova's chin.  About two hours later it was HUGE- at least the size of two golf balls.  At first I thought it was an allergic reaction to her vaccine on Wednesday, so I gave her some Benadryl.  The more I thought about it, I decided it couldn't be a reaction because it was too many hours later.  She was eating, drinking, and otherwise acting fine.

After talking to a vet tech friend, I decided not to do e-vet, just keep a close eye on her.  By today, the bump is still there.  Inside her mouth on the one side looks like a horrible, red/ purple bruise. There is no reason that she should be bruised at all, much less severly.  I took her to the vet and his first comment was "that's a lot of blood" and didn't want to drain this pocket for fear of more internal bleeding.

He asked about her getting into rat poison- which is there no way she could have. He thinks her blood is not clotting and drew blood to confirm.  He gave her a Vitamin K pill "to buy time"  and help her blood clot until we figure out what's going on.  He asked about poison several times, but I know she didn't because we don't have any in our house on purpose and she hasn't been unsuprevised anywhere else.  Now I'm worrying myself sick.  In a way I wish it was poison, because then there would be an explanation and a fix.  However, I know she didn't, so now I'm worried about cancer and out more chronic, possibly terminal problems.

Long story short, thoughts and prayers are appreciated!
