Good Morning, Ladies!
I hope you all had fantastic weekends! I was sort of MIA last week with a bunch of travel and all for work, but hopefully that will settle down for a minute :-)
Thanks so much for the great "nestie vibes" - both flights were amazingly smooth, the weather was awesome, no turbulance...no problem!! I have to say that the Four Seasons hotel was stunning - my view was Lake Michigan, and I could see the historic Drake Hotel beneath my window...Martin Short and Second City provided our after dinner entertainment, and they were funny and sharp, and I totally forgot how much I loved Martin Short...hope he does more work soon :-)
When I returned Thursday evening, H and I headed to Rehoboth for a long weekend - the weather was amazing! Perfect for the beach :-) The Inn that we stayed at (the Bellmoor Inn and Spa) was spectacular...I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of heading to Rehoboth...they are not cheap, by any stretch - but if a relaxing, luxurious getaway weekend at the beach is your goal - you can't beat them ![]()
Oh - and the Ravens won!!
That was it for me...how were your weekends???
Re: Hola! Happy Monday :-) So how was your weekend??
My weekend was wonderful, we were supposed to have the kids from Fri late night until Sunday am (their mom had to work on her weekend with them), but DH's daughter was invited to a sleepover from Sat am-Sun am, and DH's son was invited on a day trip to Cape May, NJ from Sat 10am-Sat 10:30pm. So we were able to run around Saturday shopping, I got some boots at Kohl's for $25, a new purse from WalMart and some vitamins.
We spent the day yesterday being lazy and ordered Dominos delivered (the crust is ultra-delicious btw! just like garlic bread) and watched the Phils, Eagles and I am Legend all day. It was a lovely day spent snuggling on the couch :-)
Hope your weekends were wonderful as well!
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
My weekend was good.
DH has a man cold....so I feel bad for him....but we had to cancel our Friday plans of having two couples for dinner HOWEVER I went out to one of their houses (the one who is in labor see above) because I had a feeling it might be our last time to see them before baby.
Saturday I got up early got my dress altered for next months wedding I'm in, then headed into the city to do set-up/prep for the bat mitzvah I was working that night. Then met my mom, sister, "cousin" and "aunt" (aka super close family friends) for a walk around central park which was beautiful!! Then we had a nice dinner then I spent the rest of the night working the bat mitzvah. WOAH 91 SCREAMING kids!!!! Sunday DH was feeling better he went to brunch in the city w/ his BFF and I stayed on the couch ALL DAY!
DH and I took Friday off, so we had a long weekend! Friday we took our puppy in for his surgery and then headed down to Kemah Boardwalk for a relaxing day by the bay.
Saturday, DH left me to go hunting while I spent the day doing a deep clean on the house (I still am not finished). He did bring home 13 birds (thankfully they were already cleaned!).
Sunday we ran errands and went to my parents to watch the Cowboys beat up the Texans....After that we didn't do anything....Hubby was in a crappy mood after the game...
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
I LOVE second city and Martin Short, what a great experience!!! So jealous!
Sounds like some fantastic weekends all around! My brother came to town with a friend, so we spent the weekend playing tour guide, which is fun because we can act like tourists :P We went to Torrey Pines State Reserve, absolutely beautiful, and La Jolla Cove, always breathtaking!

I have gotten lost in central park multiple times. Everything starts looking the same, and the statues all start running together!
My weekend was good. DH worked all weekend (shocking, i know) and so I hung out with my mom all weekend. We went garage sale shopping on Saturday then lunch overlooking a lake a town over (the weather was BEAUTIFUL).
Sunday, mom and I went out to a bar to watch my Cowboys kick some Texans booty. It was a great time just hanging out. I know it is going to be an insane week at work, so I had some issues getting out of bed this morning!
Mostly super good. Friday night we did some relaxing, I honestly can't even remember what we did. Oh yeah, I worked late, then we stayed up watching a movie.
Saturday we slept in late - we were supposed to go tailgating, but it rained so much that our usual lot was a mud pit, so we skipped out. Instead we went mattress shopping. I also started a big pot of chili cooking, so when we got home, the house smelled amazing!
Sunday we finalized our mattress decision and purchased the most gorgeous mattress I have ever owned. I can't wait for it to be delivered! I had choir rehearsal last night, and then came home to find that our smallest dog had started a whole in our foyer drywall. Grrrr.
Today I'm catching up, then tomorrow I'm off to Seattle for the rest of the week. It's for work, but still HURRAY!
Our weekend was pretty good. I love these lazy weekends! They don't come too often.
Friday - we picked up pizza and Dairy Queen and introduced my 12 year old son to "Nightmare on Elm Street"
Saturday - we went out for a birthday date (my DH just turned 29 on 9/22) dinner and the movie "Devil"
Sunday - we chilled around the house and my DH made chili.
Next weekend is pretty relaxed too except my DS and I are walking for Diabetes on Sunday.
Danielle
Weekend was good except my Lions lost - only this time I expected it cuz we played the Vikings. I acutally thought we had hope against the Bears and Eagles but the Vikings were far-fetched. Damn Favre.
Cookout on Saturday and stayed in Friday. Mike's nephew, his wife and 2 year old son came to see us on Sunday. He's so cute - pics on FB of him beating Mike up and posing with the football.
