Hi ladies. I would ask on the Bump Cincinnati but my SIL is occasionally hanging out over there. Our nephew is being baptised soon and I need to figure out a gift for them. It is a catholic one for a 2 month old baby boy. I wasn't raised catholic so I have never been to one of these before. I ask MH but he was clueless. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA.
P.S. In my vent yesterday about MH interviewing process apparently brought good news. He got the new job!!! We are so excited. It would be using his college degree and almost double what he currently makes. Sorry I had to AW. I'm just so excited.
Re: Baptism Gift
For kids under 2 I typically go with clothes for any occasion. They are young enough that they don't remember and are more interested in the box than what's in it. After age 2, it's always fun stuff.
One of my favorites is to go to Old Navy and get complete outfits including socks and cutesy shoes or a hat.
that is great news about your husband and the job!!
as for a baptism gift... really anything goes, but I like to get something a little more sentimental for these types of things. In the past, I have gone to Family Christian Book store and found something cute - maybe a picture frame or something. Another nice thing is to get a hard bound book (maybe a favorite of yours when you were young) and write a nice message in it.
My inlaws had a block made similar to this one for Owen's baptism, it's super neat and was a big hit with all the relatives.

Also, you could do a personalized Noah's Ark piggybank from Things Remembered, or a toddler/baby bible or biblical story book, or a rosary.
