About 10 am Sunday I heard the neighbor's child SCREAMING at the top of his lungs. On the lines of ouch...that hurts....broke my heart but I didn't see anything so I felt I should stay out of it.
That afternoon I had Miley outside playing catch and when we walked in the building, the GF of the Dad was walking the little boy outside to go somehwere. Apparently he wasn't walking fast enough so she smacked him in the back of the head (HARD), he fell face first into the steps and hit his head and started crying. She told him to shut up, get up adn get ot the car.
PISSED ME OFF. I got on my phone in FRONT of her and called 911 and told her she may want to stick around for a bit. I've HAD it with her being a *** to that poor little boy! She treats their dog like ***, the kid no better and I'm sick to freaking death of playing nice. I constantly hear her screaming at the top of her lungs at the poor kid and God forbid they spend time and do stuff with him! They NEVER have their dog on a leash and grab it by the scruff of the neck to bring it outside or inside. Suposedly they were going to bring him to the HS to give him up and they can't afford the surrender fee. Easy...dont' buy your next bag of food and bring him there instead! If they can't afford to surrender him, how are they feeding him?? That dog deserves a MUCH better home than with them!
So does the sweet little boy. I called my landlord who is a good friend of ours and told him what I did and his only comment was "good! It's about time someone stuck up for little boy! I'm never there to see or hear anything so I don't feel I can call!"
Re: i called the police on my neighbor Sunday.
Did the police show up? Can you call CPS as well or do the police automatically do that? Can any other neighbors be witnesses to back up your claims? They can't ignore if numerous people all tell the same story.
The whole thing breaks my heart. Good for you for doing something!
oh yeah, police came right over. They told me that with me filing the report that CPS automatically gets a copy of the report. And I had numerous people in the building come down and talk to them also. We have all heard this poor kid screaming many many many times. I hit my breaking point and I don't care what they think anymore. The little boy is still there pending their investigation and CPS investigation, but I am under strict orders to call immediately if anything else happens. The little boy as ADHD and the Dad refuses to put him on any meds because it costs too much. But he brings home alcohol all the time, brought home a dog, I NEVER see them bringing home groceries so they must eat out a lot. (but the last one is just speculation to be honest... I'm not home all the time so I just may not be seeing it)
Now if only I could get their dog out of there also. He is treated just as badly as the boy.
You could e-mail the regional rep for Dogs Deserve Better. She might be able to give you ideas about what you can do.
