The Sound of Music reunion
Listening to KS95 and apparently Oprah is doing a Sound of Music reunion episode on October 29. Christopher Plummer, Julie Andrews, and all the kiddies too.
Kind of cool. I'll have to have my mom DVR it so I can watch it there :-)

Re: The Sound of Music reunion
Yeah, she lives in the Twin Cities. She's a florist! I think that's really cool.
My sister has been to the Von Trapp family lodge in Vermont twice and met a few of them.
I love the Sound of Music. LOVE. Julie Andrews is amazing.
I hate Oprah's show these days though. They talk for 30 seconds and go to a commercial break. I bet in total her show is about 15 minutes long. Lame.
I hope they sing :-) One of my favorite movies ever! I not-so-secretly want to name my children after the VonTrapp Family Singers.
Last time I caught it on TV I had to imdb it to see what everyone is up to/looks like now.

It is because the 45th anniversary of the release of the movie is coming up, and to commemorate it, they are releasing the moving on BluRay. They are also doing singalong showings of the movies nationwide on the 19th and 26th of this month. I'm a cheeseball, but I'm totally going. (I went to one before, years ago, and it was so much fun.)

WHAT?!?!?! You most definitely HAVE to watch it, and then make a post telling us what it's like to see The Sound of Music for the first time as an adult. I'm curious what that would be like. I'm guessing most of us on here grew up watching it!
