halloween is just around the corner...
..and i can't stop thinking about Christmas.
I'm not even that big on the actual holiday, but I love the weather, the time with family, and the Christmas lights everywhere.
The lights are by far my favorite thing.

Re: halloween is just around the corner...
My favorite things in the world: Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas lights.
Near my dad's house, they have trees in the bay and they light them up starting on Thanksgiving night until the day after New Year's. I get all like I'm 5 and run around screaming "The trees are on! The trees are on!" I'll post a picture when they turn on.

YES!!! I'm not alone!! My DH and I have "rounds" that we make every year. We go downtown first, then we go through my parent's neighborhood, and we hit all the "rich" areas in town, they always go all out on christmas.
We used to do the Trail of Lights, but the city didn't budget for it this year. It was an amazing free event that has been in many family's traiditions for years.

DH thinks I'm crazy 'cause I LOVE Christmas lights so freakin' much! I make him slow down all the time and refuse to drive so I can just look. He won't let me stop to just look.
Then again, he also won't let me wander unchaperoned into WalMart's Christmas section any more, either... Tehehehe
BBUUTT -- this is my first year decorating absolutely by myself and we have our own apartment to deck out! Woohoooo!!!
Haha, I'm not allowed in WalMarts Christmas section either!!!
Last year, I came home with a mass amount of extra lights.. for this year.. or .. whatever.
And a bunch of new items to organize our ornaments & a new christmas tree holder for our very first tree together b/c although we've lived together for 2 years, we never bought our own tree LOL
