Re: QOTD
Jim and I do the Whitman-Walker Clinic's (HIV/AIDS) and the National Epilepsy Foundation's fund raising walks each year. For a zillion years, I've participated in Operation Christmas Child. I will donate to Susan G. Komen or ALS Association (Mom) and American Lung Association or American Cancer Society (Dad) when I get a request. Most of my local charity is done through my church (food pantry, school material drives, Salvation Army angels, etc.).

My brother-in-law started a charity, so I am most actively involved in his charity. I participate in all of the walks and volunteer when I'm visiting them. If I lived closer I would probably manage their finances as well. I'm trying to convince him to give me more to do through email.
Otherwise, I usually donate to charities related to cancer, cystic fibrosis, Parkinson's, and alzheimer's research, because I have had friends or family member affected by these diseases.
Maybe we can train one day to do a run together and make a vacay out of it, katzblaze!!
Right now, I'm raising money and doing a walk for the American Diabetes Association.
I am very passionate about gay rights, sun safety (anti-tanning beds, etc) and anti-violence organizations.
Yes! I think you should totally come to the Northeast and I'll go walk, too.
In AK we were involved with Victims for Justice. I've always donated to St.Judes.
We are adopting a senior through the Salvation Army for Christmas, as well as a Wounded Warrior family.
