Hubby's and Target (vent.long)

Okay, we live in a small town, about an hour south of Dallas. The biggest place to shop we have is Wal-Mart. So this weekend we are in Dallas and DH says he wants to go to Target. YAY! Well he only wanted to look at DVDs, and the second I walk to that little $1 aisle he throws a fit. Seriously, like a 7 year old that doesn't want to shop with his momma. He does this all the time and it drives me insane! We went to Hobby Lobby about a month ago to get a frame for my diploma from college, I didn't find anything so I went to Michaels and he sat in the car, playing Monopoly on his phone. Well apparantly I was in there too long, and we fought the whole way home about how he hates shopping! I mean really???  Do y'alls husbands do that crap? I try to go with friends, but I don't have any friends that don't have kids and its hard for her to get away and sometimes she is a little b****y. Like the other day, I was going to Michaels with my sister and she text me and said "When you go to Michaels you can get me this item" Not will you look and see if they have this, but you can get me this. And if I got it for her its not like she would ever pay me back.  Anyways....sorry girls....had to vent a little.

Re: Hubby's and Target (vent.long)

  • The funny thing is that for us its pretty much the opposite. DH will be the one that wants to shop and I'm the little girl making a scene saying that I want to go home. Well only sometimes. Embarrassed

Personally I rather go alone than go with anybody else, especially if I'm going to have to wait around for them to be done, which is usually what happens with DH.

  • I don't really have any advice, but just wanted to say I used to live there (corsicana?) I worked at the college, and the lack of places to shop almost drove me crazy!  Good luck!
