I was searching for new jobs and came across one that sounded really interesting. Ohio has a program called Ohio Works First for people who are receiving public assistance. The state offers classes where they can learn a new trade to help get them back into the workforce.
They are seeking an RN to teach a medical assisting program. As of December, when I have my BSN, I will meet all of the requirements they are seeking...so I applied as I figure the interviewing process will take time, and I need to give my current job notice anyways...so I realistically couldn't start a new job until December anyways.
I just applied yesterday morning and they lady emailed me back today already to inquire again if I had "72 months (6 years) experience as an RN." I explained to her that I am right now at 70 months...as of November will have my full 6 years in and the following month, when I could start the job, I would also have the BSN.
I'm hoping those 2 months don't disqualify me. I'm thinking its good that they responded at all within 24 hours. Plus this would be a county job, full-time, days, no holidays or weekends, great benefits. Please please please send me some of those good nestie vibes!!!!
