Bump has school-aged kids board
Re: Bump has school-aged kids board
Ooooh! Thanks Nancy! I'm going to head over there right now!
Speaking of THAT, I have the feeling it will be early for my daughter. I had to have her start wearing deodarant FULL time last week. Sign of times a changin'!
I know a few people who've needed to put deodorant on their kids early... but, nothing else happened. My daughter doesn't need it yet. She's still the giggly girl who picks up the deodorant with the cap on, rubs it on her pits and says, "I'm a big, smelly man."
I wonder what the timeline is once things start happening. I live in fear of a child with PMS.
Newlyweds since 2007
I didn't hit puberty until I was 11, but I started needing deodorant at about 9 years old. But I'm super smelly - if I ever forget to put on deodorant before I go to work, I CANNOT just go without - I have to stop at the store and buy some. I'm a smelly smelly girl lol.
Ugh - my stepson needed deodorant pretty early. I'm convinced boys smell earlier than girls. The only thing that stinks on my stepdaughter is her feet (and it's BAD, particularly after basketball).
I was happy to see that the Bump had a blended families board, it really helps to take to other people who understand what a PITA it can be to be a step-parent, as awful as that sounds. But it's a particularly "special" challenge. *sigh*
