Zero sex drive/lube questions
Hey all- my libido was dwindling away on the pill I was on so I went to see a gyno (new guy, worst experience of my life- had to file a report afterwards) who prescribed me the generic ortho-low. Now not only did my sex drive COMPLETELY disappear but it's like the Sahara desert in my vag and my hair is falling out a lot more than usual. I don't want to be touched, by my SO or myself. I feel so dead and numb inside.
I'm going in to talk to my doc about options- I'd like to just switch pills but I don't know if there is one out there that is different. What types of BC methods have you all used and kept your libido up?
If all else fails, condoms it is. Like I said earlier, it's like the Sahara desert...any lube suggestions that aren't too "thick"? I used to like wet and wild but even that seems too gooey now.

For BC, I am on the Nuva-ring. I've regained my sex drive and find it more convenient than the pill.
As for lube suggestions, KY 2-in-1 massage and body lube that H and I really like. It's not sticky or thick. It comes in warming and tingling.

Make sure its a water based lube, those are less gooey and more natural. Keep it simple. Regular KY lube is fantastic.
Question...When you were examined by the male Doctor, was a nurse present? I've only seen two male gyno's and each time a female nurse was present.

There was a nurse present. The issue I had with him was that he was too busy talking about his son in law school to listen to my concerns and not telling me what he was doing. I've had plenty of exams in my life but there is always a little warning before doing anything- it was just pushing around and shoving for him. At one point I literally could NOT talk because I was in shock. When he saw my shock, his response was "well now that you are 22 I have to do that" WHAT?!
PP on NuvaRing-- just for a different perspective-- I just went OFF the ring because of some side effects (bleeding... after I had been on it for a year, WTF?!) After I switched from Lo-Estrin to the Ring, my sex drive was ZIP, ZILCH... NONEXISTANT. When I did feel halfway in the mood, I was so dry- I would get wet for maybe a few minutes and then... nothing.
Not saying you should go OFF BC, but in the WEEK that I have been off any form... my sex drive is RIDICULOUS. Comparative to a rabbit even. And no problems (so far) with dryness.
We tried KY while I was on the Ring and it all but set me on FIRE. So, I didn't care for it too much
My doctor told me about Zestra. it's amazing!! it's about $10 for three little packets but it's worth it. you can look it up on line.
