Random question

Where might you go to sell things like DVDs and video games?  Matt has every season of Seinfeld but I bought him the big series collectors edition last Christmas.  As we're packing up our stuff and getting rid of stuff we don't need, we're looking to sell those as well as a bunch of his video games (he honestly never plays them.)  So we are wanting to sell but we're not sure where to go to do so.  Suggestions?

Re: Random question

  • Ebay is your best route.
  • Every season, huh?  Too bad  me buying that would not mean that DH would quit watching the reruns every night on tbs.

  • You can sell video games at game stop, but you won't get much for them, for older games you'll get $1-$5, for a new game you could get $10-$20 depending how new it is. DH trades in his old games there a lot. I don't know of any places that buy DVDs anymore, we sold a lot of our old DVDs at our garage sale.
  • lol Brandy, even with the collector's edition, Matt still watches the episodes on TBS!

  • And does Matt get upset if for some reason they're not on?  Are you subjected to so much Seinfeld that you know which episode is which within the first scene?  I never was a Seinfeld fan and I know far more about it than I ever wanted to!

  • haha yeah it's not that bad.  I mean, I married into a family where the men know probably every single line of Seinfeld.  They know EVERYTHING.  I think they show a lot of the same episodes in syndication so those I know pretty well but otherwise, I don't know a whole lot about the rest of the episodes.

  • You could also try Buy Backs at the corner of Talmadge & Sylvania in the same plaza as Cold Stone. I'm not sure exactly how much they'll give you for things but you can always take them in and refuse to sell them if you think they're not willing to pay enough. That's where I go to buy seasons of tv shows sometimes :o)

Ditto this - sometimes they're good about the buy price, sometimes, they're not...  Also, you could try Plato's Closet in Perrysburg - they buy DVDs.

I'm also a Seinfeld-wife, lol.  We have the DVD Scene It game and I reluctantly accept to play with DH and his one friend because we're the only three people we know who have seen every single episode a million times...  the game is SO freakin' easy, too, lol.

  • You could also try CL.  We bought some WII games on there.

  • Try amazon too.  I think I remember them buying back DVDs and video games from when I sold back a ton of our old textbooks.  They gave fairly good prices on the books, so I would think they may on the DVDs and video games.  They will give you amazon credit for everything, and they give you the shipping label to print off so it is free shipping too.

  • Honestly the best way to sell would be on ebay. Do a big lot and be done with it. So many people out there just buy video games and DVD's. They must have a store or something.

When we were getting ready to move we had 100's of DVD and we dropped them off at one of those resale shops. They offered to buy all but a couple and the price was so low it wasn't funny. It was like .25 - .50 each. We declined the offer and listed on ebay and they sold for over $100!

  • You will get the most money on Ebay, I second Kel.  I sell everything on Ebay because you really get what you want for stuff.  Selling it to a resale shop should be your last resort.  And CL has a bunch of weirdos, that is my other last resort.

Haha, nice!  Well my DH and his friend and I would definitely be up for a game, lol.  The three of us are the only ones who ever bust it out...
