What are your favorite "party foods"?
I'm trying to come up with a menu for my birthday party, and I have some ideas, but love extra opinions too.
I'm doing simple stuff - basic munchies, finger foods that are pretty easy to serve, etc.
I'm thinking...
Meatballs and/or weenies
Queso Dip
Veggies w/ Dip
Fruit Salsa
What do you think of those choices, and what are some of your favorites?
Re: What are your favorite "party foods"?
water chestnuts w/ bacon and bbq sauce
mini desserts
cheese plate or cheese ball
Those sound pretty thorough.
I make queso dip with Velveeta, Bob Evans ground sausage and salsa. It's sooo good...
I also like to make pigs in a blanket - cocktail weenies wrapped with Pillsbury crescent dough with a piece of cheddar cheese.
Another one I make pretty frequently is tomato basil crostini - it's just sliced French bread toasted with a basil leaf, a slice of tomato and mozzarella cheese and then baked until the cheese melts. They're really yummy.
I love the ham wrapped around pickles with cream cheese pinwheels. They are my fav.
We've been having Super Suppers in Perrysburg make most of our party snacks anymore though.
Tortilla rollups are good and pretty easy too. Smoked sausage, cheese slices and crackers are usually popular. Desserts could be cupcakes, brownies, do-it-yourself sundaes, or even store bought mini eclairs and cheesecake squares.
