Looks wise, how do you prioritize your money? Hair, makeup, clothes, nails, other?
I'll go ahead and answer here because I'm not sure I worded the question clearly. I would put my hair first. I won't buy a shirt that's over $30. I only buy mascara, eyeliner, and shadow and usually from CVS or the grocery store. I get my toes done once a month, but never my nails. However, I spend over $200 to get my hair done every few months. And I feel ok with that because I don't spend near as much as some other women do on clothes, etc.

Re: QOTD
My hair! (however I had to cancel my hi-lite the other nite). I usually get a cut about every 6 weeks and a hi-lite about every 12. I think I might have to start coloring soon though, as I am noticing more gray's. YIKES.
Makeup would be second...I buy cover up, blush, shadow, and eye liner.
I get a manicure and pedicure about once every 6 months. I am way overdue though!
Hair first, of course. I love my stylist and would still go if she charged my $300, but I might not tell Derek.
Next would be skin care and makeup, aka, Sephora purchases. I have a new found appreciation for good quality makeup, I really think it makes a difference.
Then clothes. I go through spurts with shopping. Generally as the seasons change and I realize that everything I had this time last year doesn't fit any more.
Lastly is nails. A mani or pedi is a once in a while treat for me that only happens a few times a year, if even. I have an extensive collection of nail polish that I've built up over the years, so I generally go for an at-home job.
I have to say, though, the gap between hair/makeup and clothes/nails is pretty wide.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

I would have to say I spend more money on clothes and shoes but even then I only buys clothes every 4 months or something. Unless I see a nice shirt or blouse on sale.
Makeup I just buy it from Walgreens. Either way I don't like to wear a lot of it. I usually just wear blush eye shadow and mascara.
When it comes to hair I consider myself really lucky. My mom went to cosmetology school so she cuts, dyes and styles my hair when I need it.
Manicure and pedicure: I hardly ever get one since my nails have to be short to play my violin and I have two civil labs which would ruin any manicure with all the cement and fly ash.
I spend most on clothes.... this year I've been revamping my wardrobe bc the time we were in engaged I didn't shop much unless it was crap for the wedding, so most of my clothes were from April '08 and prior.... after the wedding I slowly started getting some new jeans, new shoes, new cardigans... I'm pretty much good now in terms of filling "needs", but I def would easily spend $$$ on shoes or jeans or a sweater and put off a hair cut a month or so for it....
I stopped coloring my hair 4 years ago, so my haircuts are only $60 every 8-10wks... which I normally avoid making other "makeup purchases" those months.... then in the non-haircut months, I'll get what I need from Sephora, but I'm a make up minimalist... only buying things when fully out and use the same products... so no 5 blushes and 10 eyeshadows, etc.
I started doing my own nails a year ago.... once I finally learned to stop painting my entire right hand, I've saved a ton... a bottle of polish is $8, but I can prob get 20 applications (.40 cent) where a mani would be $20 w/ tip each time... (but, i still get pedicures maybe once every 2-3 months)

1. Makeup. I have a pretty low-maintenance look for everyday, but I'm a snob about buying the high quality stuff.
2. Clothes. Sort of. I really prefer the nicer stuff because it generally fits better and lasts longer, but I can't afford too much of that... so I just buy a few pieces each season to update my wardrobe. But I don't have that many clothes (due to closet space) and still wear a lot of stuff I've had for a long time.
3. Hair. I love a good haircut, but I have fine hair and I don't use any styling products day-to-day. There's not much hope for it to look amazing all the time so I don't spend too much.
4. Nails. I think I actually went through the whole summer without polishing my toes at all. I love pedis but I just have other priorities for my money now.

For the longest time it was hair, waxing, makeup, clothes then nails. It's slowly coming back to this, now that I'm working.
I use to get my hair colored every 8 weeks. I use to get waxed every 6. I use Bare Essentials makeup, and usually stock up when I have a discount. I had to buy new clothes when I started working. I will admit my toes haven't been done since the wedding. I love a good pedicure, but couldn't justify it when I was out of work. I do however have a pedicure scheduled before our Cali trip in November.
1. Hair - I'm lumping in hair products in the "hair" column. My hair is on a strict Aveda diet, so that, plus my appointments, keeps the hair budget high.
1. Makeup - I'm also lumping cleanser/moisturizer in the "makeup" column. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to that and makeup, hence the V.I.B status at Sephora.
2. Clothing - a close 2, but 2 nonetheless. I'm trying to be better. It's an illness, really.
3. Nails - a huge gap between 2 and 3. I haven't treated myself to a mani/pedi in forever
I normally just do them myself.
Hmmm.. I think mine goes like this
1. Hair- I use good shampoo and conditioner and I get my hair cut and highlighted about every 6-8 weeks.
2. Nails- I get them done every 4 weeks.
3. Clothes- this is a close 2nd because I do love to shop. I have been way better lately though.
4. Makeup- I like to buy MAC but it seems to last me forever so I don't have to buy it often. I will also grab things I need or have ran out of at the Target or whatever around here.
1. Clothes. I usually buy nicer things for work so that they will last for a long time, but buying nicer stuff means that it costs more upfront. I am great at finding bargains though.
2. Makeup. I generally buy my makeup and skincare products from Sephora. I am a bit of a makeup snob and definitely spend a bit more than I should on this category.
3. Hair. I only get my hair done once every 3-4 months. I use nice shampoo, but only wash my hair every 2 or 3 days, so a bottle of shampoo will last me for a very long time.
4. Nails. I usually paint my own nails and toes and only get a mani or pedi for special occasions.
1. Clothes. I like to have variety and nice things for work so I buy a few new things every few months or so. Between that, workout clothes and shoes, that's my biggest category.
2. Hair. I don't highlight or do anything fancy, just cut every 8 weeks or so.
3. Makeup. I don't wear any on a daily basis. I pretty much put on mascara and some eye shadow if we're going to a wedding...and I buy it at Shoppers Drug Mart
4. Mani/Pedi - I haven't had either since the wedding. Manicures don't last and that annoys me and running had made some of my toes a little wonky. After my half marathon I'm going to use my 2 year old gc for a mani!
Clothes are definitely first. I tend to buy a few little pieces once a month or so. I've been trying to keep it in check, because I have high hopes that I will fit into some old clothes soon. However, all of my dreams for being tiny might be squashed if we get pregnant this year. Then it will be a fight to slim down all over again after baby is born.
My hair is probably next. I only get a cut maybe every 6 months. I really dont' worry about it until I have split ends and it bothers me. I color at home for the most part, or I'll splurge every year to have a highlight done or something. I really want to do a deep red this year, but I have a color in my cabinet to use before I hit the salon for it.
Makeup and mani/pedis are last. I rarely buy makeup since I only wear it when we go out, which isn't very often. I had a manicure done for the wedding and I've never had a pedicure. I have a funky foot from playing soccer, and I'm super self-conscious about it. Let's just say it's really gross.
1. Nails... I get acrylics every 3 weeks, it's my little splurge and it makes me feel pretty.
2. Makeup- I buy little things alot. I like to have variety.
3. Clothes- I like bargains and generally stick with the same stores and the same things unless it's a must have or on sale
4. Hair- I get it cut and that's about it
