All About Me

I had a presentation downtown today, which is very near a mall I love.  I decided that the outflow of money in our household was all going towards H or the house.  Not me.  So I decided some indulgent "me" shopping was in order!

I bought:

1.  A new pair of pants (a size too big)

2.  3 lip glosses (I thought of you, Britt)

3.  White Tea body cream from Origins... completely decadent, totally indulgent, and fabulous!

4.  The Body Shop Hemp Body Butter

I hate how spending money makes me so happy.  I should find better inner peace ;)

What about the rest of you?  Any indulgent "me" purchases lately?

good for you for spending a little on yourself! i haven't spent any money on myself in a while so this is way overdue!

The pants I bought were from Express.  We seem to be shopping twins today :)  I love how their pants fit!  And they were super on sale ($25) so I didn't feel so bad spending $35 on a jar of body cream.

Bella- I looked in you blog to see the MK bag, but didn't see it.  I like that little shirt dress, though, and the Etsy bag.

  • I should buy myself something.  But I usually buy stuff for other people too much and then do without.  And yeah, that's a nice thing to do but it's been pointed out that I should learn to be selfish sometimes.

This may change a little when I hit up Old Navy this week.  While buying the ever growing 4 year old new pants, I might buy me-self a little something.  Maybe.

Amber- I actually didn't put it in yet. I'm gonna get around to it this week as I have a bunch of stuff to post. I did some shopping last week and went a lil crazy lol

  • Getting my hair cut on Saturday, maybe a mani, too. Poor hands look like crap.

Also got a cashmere scarf and lip gloss for me, a lip gloss set for my sister, and a cashmere scarf for MIL (yes, this is me Christmas shopping in September. lol)

JB- I started X-Mas shopping for J too. Nothing wrong with that!

  • I have had to curb my shopping habits tremendously since money has been so tight for us. It is amazing how happy it does make you.

Last night I bought 2 new dressy tops that I can also wear to church and a pair of brown casual shoes to wear to work as the weather gets cooler. I really want a new purse right now but waiting to see if H will by me the new Coach bag I want for my birthday.

  • Yay for "me" stuff!

I recently replaced all my makeup with the "good stuff" lol - nice makeup and boy the difference is huge/.  Also got some rain boots that I have certainly needed, perfect timing with the rain we've had.  I need to go out and get clothes though, just don't have the funds at the moment....

Girl, you BETTER buy SOMETHING for yourself, too!  Old Navy is a nice inexpensive place to treat yourself.

  • Nothing fun for me lately. We're closing on the hosue in less than a month, so all our money is being saved up for down payment/closing costs and other not-fun stuff we'll have to buy (washer/dryer, snowblower, ugh). But I plan on buying some fun decor stuff once we move in! And maybe some shoes...

  • Good for you!! It's always good to splurge a little once in a while :) I just recently bought a pair of chili red Jessica Simpson pumps, I absolutely love them and can't wait to wear then. I also bought a matching clutch to go with them from hobo international.

  • I have indulged myself big time this month.  Two cashmere sweaters, a t-shirt, and going to get a dress today with new shoes probably.  J high school reunion is coming up so I have an excuse to get a new outfit and a mani/pedi next week.  I get my hair done every five weeks so I don't really count that as an indulgent.
  • This was the month for indulgence for me too. I got a ton of new maternity clothes since the belly popped. I convinced DH to get me a Kindle. I'm getting my hair cut for the first time in 18 months on Saturday. I usually get trins every 8 weeks, but I am getting the big post wedding chop.

September has been my "go crazy" month before we buckle down on savings for the twins.

  • Shan- Congrats on the Twins!

I haven't bought anything for myself since we went on major budget and literally froze my cc in the freezer.
But Saturday I'm doing a sort of TTD session with my horse that has arthritis as a last hoorah since the vet said to be prepared for a really rough winter.
It's more about my selflishness in not wanting to lose my horse but it gives me the opportunity to put my dress on again.

  • I did a serious number on anntaylor.com and loft.com yesterday. I bought from their FINAL SALE link and umm...if you like both of these stores, I highly suggest NOT going to their sites and looking b/c it's all soooo cheap, you won't be able to control yourself.

Finally...we are Mr. & Mrs.!!! WooHoo!!!

  • Let me add to the act of indulging myself, I bought Cubs tickets for tomorrow now I need to really justify buying a new dress when I have a ton of them in my closet.

**J is awesome!  I have to go get my oil changed tomorrow and he was like oh that will work, you can go to the mall and do some shopping.  I love that man!

  • I'm so jealous of you all!  With the move we're really strapped, and H is still trying to nail down some full-time work.  We did splurge on a nice big HD tv and DirectTV so I can watch my Steelers and H can play Halo Reach.  LOL!

I do have a girl's weekend get-away to the mountains coming up with MIL and SIL...THAT will be fun!!
