Weird/Gross/Random question....
If you have your jaw wired shut, what happens if you have to throw up???
Re: Weird/Gross/Random question....
I was a little hesitant to click. Is that through the teeth!?!
I had a friend in high school who had her jaw wired shut, and the doctor told her that she absolutely COULD NOT get sick. She had to take every precaution not to pick up germs (constant hand washing, not eating off other people's plates, no sharing drinks, etc).
He said that if she did throw up, that her body would force her mouth open and it would basically re-break her jaw and she would have to have it wired shut again. She was terrified, but luckily she never got sick!
Thanks, Doc. You have a nice day, now, too. Holy cow!
haha ditto this! jeez!
Same here! Yuck!!
LOL! I love it.
As tempting as milkshakes for every meal sound I don't think I would ever want my jaw wired shut thanks to what that doctor said. Hmm...I just made that sound like would consider voluntarily having it wired shut. I don't think that came out right. I do love milkshakes though, but I love cupcakes more and you need a working jaw for those.
