Button Bouquets... July 2010
Hello, I had a question I posted on the Knot and it was recommended that I jump over here to relay the inquiry.
I am considering using button bouquets for my flower girls (eventually) since I don't really like the petal tossing bit. I was wondering if anyone has used button bouquets at all and how did you like them? If your flower girls had them, did *they* like them?
And, what are the pros and cons of possibly using a small button bouquet for the Bouquet Toss?
Thanks,
~Summer
Re: Button Bouquets... July 2010
Hi Summer!
I used button bouquets and LOVED them. My flower girl didn't use one though. I got married on the beach and she tossed blue sand instead. But I know the little ones would've loved them because one of my BM's has a 3 year old and played "wedding" with her bouquet for weeks after the wedding. It was precious!!
I loved having my button bouquet because of the obvious, it doesn't wilt or die. I have it in a vase on my TV stand. I also loved it because my colors were blue and I was worried how dyed blue flowers would turn out. Definitely too unpredictable.
I ordered mine from Etsy, Jilliann's http://www.etsy.com/listing/41480671/jillianns-blueaqua-mist-satin-tulle-and She has great reviews and was a sweetheart to deal with.
As for the tossing bouquet, I got a smaller one (7 strands) and I had compliments on it too. Some of my friends wanted to catch the bouquet just to have the button bouquet.
My FB album is public, so have a look. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=196096&id=500406636
Let me know if you have any other questions. HTH!
