Sex and that 'time of the month'
I'm sure this has been addressed before, but what do you guys think about sex and your period? Do you still do it? Do you take a break? I get insanely horny when I'm on my period, but the thought of it just freaks me out! What do you guys do?!

Well usually when I'm heavy, I'm also crampy so its a no go then. But if I am pretty light then I dont have an issue with it. Like PP's said, put down a towel or hit the showers.
DH and I had this discussion this morning. I said "that's what shower sex is for"
Besides the extra red blood cells and there's not a HUGE difference between menstrual / other vaginal fluids. Mostly mucous, just more of a quantity thing.

We still have sex during that time of the month. We just lay a towel on the bed or do it in the shower like a previous poster said.
When we first started dating I was surprised when he was ok with it. I was like bad news its that time of the month and he was like "well is it really heavy?" I said no and he was like "ok" and that was that. Now married and still doesnt have an issue.
My ex didnt like doing it during that time of the month so i think it all depends on the guy.

Yes, we do it while I'm on my period. When you orgasm everything contracts, yes? It seems like it helps with the cramping.
My DH really couldn't care either way, oral sex is a big NO but everything else is a big turn on to me. I'm kind of a weird-o and find period porn (real period porn!) fascinating
We don't, but that's because H is uncomfortable with it. I always tease him that he won't touch me with a 10-foot pole when I'm on my period and he says, "No, I will touch you with a 10- foot pole. Just not other things.

I do have a funny to go with this. H and I were virgins when we got married. Well, his brother and SIL had a basket of "goodies" in our hotel room for the wedding night including colored condoms. So, a couple months later, we were doing it and H reached over and just grabbed a random condom out of the colored condom box. When we were done and he was cleaning up, he suddenly started freaking out. He asked if I was okay, which I was, and checked himself to make sure he was okay, which he was. Then he looks at the condom in the trash and says, "Oh thank God the condom is red." lol He thought one or both of us was bleeding (like maybe I was on my period and didn't tell him or we had done something wrong). I think this is part of the reason he doesn't like doing it when I'm on my period.
