Dear Period, why hast thou forsaken me?
So a normal cycle is 28 days. So far I'm on day 36 and counting. I just want it to GET here already!
And for all you whors, I am NOT PREGNANT so don't even suggest it, hahahaha
It is just the first full cycle that I've been off BCP, so my body is just adjusting or some dumb sh!t. Sorry. I'm cranky.
Re: Dear Period, why hast thou forsaken me?
You're totally knocked up!!!
<----- whore.
Wonder will it be a boy or a girl... Hmmmm... oooohhhh I know twins!!! That will be awesome!!!
I have to go shopping for some babies this weekend!!!
Ahhh crap. I wasn't thinking. Sorry, J!!!
It's definitely your body just getting used to the change in hormones and whatnot. It'll regulate itself out. What are you doing in the meantime for protection?
It's ok girls. Pam - she said that it was really hard because she can't act like there's anything wrong around her kids...they didn't know she was pregnant and they won't understand if she tries to explain...so they basically have to put on happy faces and act like everything is totallly normal.
Dave and I were talking last night and we both agree that that would be the hardest part. I would just want to lie in bed and cry for a few days. Hell, that's what I've been doing anyway, and it wasn't even MY baby...so yeah. She's finding it very hard.
That would be so hard having to pretend everything is ok. Your poor sister.
As for your problem, it's just your body adjusting. I had to be off BC for a bit since I ran out before I was on Dan's insurance and couldn't get an appointment forever. Instead of the normal 28 days it was 6 weeks, I think, before I got my period.
I think your body is just getting used to being off the hormones, it will show up soon!
I'm praying for your sister!
I had to do something similar last year when all of the crap came to light. It was awful, trying to put on a happy face at work and with family. I can't imagine having to pretend that everything was normal around your own children all day while going through something so painful. It would be almost impossible to grieve the way you needed to. I'm praying for your sister and her husband.
Your body will regulate itself out in a few months.
It took mine about five months to get back to normal after I went off the mini-pill, and, actually, it's never been quite the same since (used to be 28 days and I knew down to the 3-hour window when it would hit; now it ranges from 26-30 days, usually 27 or 29).
Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility, J? Because this is SO not true! HAHAA! It's like the longest book in the world and quite repetitive but it's amazing how much I've learned from it.
Like everyone else has said, I'm sure it's just your body readjusting. BC MAKES your cycle 28 days when in reality, most women's are longer, some shorter. It may take a few months for you to get back you YOUR normal cycle.
PS... you should read it! =D
That's hilarious! I don't think Kevin really cares to know. HAHA! And I can def see why you are so annoyed. I would be too and will prolly be in the same place as you in a few months. Only I've been on BC for 9 years so I have NO IDEA what my normal cycle would be! So that should be fun.
Haha I hate that feeling when you don't know if it's coming or not.....so you're always afraid you'll go to the bathroom and realize you've got a gross situation on your hands. Definitely don't wear any cute white jeans anytime soon - HAHAHA!
And PS - Matt and I used to be weirdos and he would have my period start date in his electronic calendar so he always knew when it was coming up. Hahaha! How creepy! I can't believe we used to do that!
LOL, yes. That is a little creepy! My Matt always has a pretty good idea of when mine's coming. I think part of it is due to the fact that my Cycle Beads are on display on one of the bedroom mirrors, but he also seems to just... know. It could have something to do with the way my personality starts to sparkle at this time of the month.
I hate that feeling!
And yeah the whole period in the calendar thing might be a little creepy. :-) Dan can often guess when I'm starting my period thanks to my wonderful mood. But I get really ticked when he says "are you on your period or something?" and it's no where close to that time of the month.
Haha yeah.....Matt and I both hate when the other asks "Are you in a bad mood today?"
"Well I WASN'T, but if you keep asking me if I'm in a bad mood, I'm going to be in a bad mood!"
