XP: Familiar with Martha's Vineyard?
I am supposed to go to MV for a wedding this weekend. We were going to leave tomorrow afternoon (the wedding is saturday afternoon) but I'm a little concerned about the wind warnings. Is there a chance the ferry from Woods Hole could be cancelled? I went years and years ago and I think I remember the ferry being pretty big, so I'm guessing it is unlikely?
We are also traveling with friend who tends to get mildly seasick, and wants to know if the ferry is big enough to be pretty steady in a storm. We could always wait until Saturday morning when it is supposed to be nicer, but there is a get together tomorrow night we'd love to go to. I appreciate any thoughts

Re: XP: Familiar with Martha's Vineyard?
I have never heard of the ferry being cancelled.
Also, it is pretty steady BUT my brother got seasick/threw up on the ferry as a kid and I get nauseous from it sometime.
Why not get dramamine and call it a day? I like the CVS brand, raspberry flavored, all day, non broswy chewables. If they can stand up to the Boston t system, they can stand up to the MV ferry!
GL and have fun! :-)
