Work Holiday Parties?

Does anyone have a suggestion on a great place to have a work holiday party? Last year we had it at The Claddagh in the mall and my co-workers didn't like it too much.  We want something along the same formality of that, but nothing too bar/pub like.  I thought maybe Zia's?  I am trying to keep it to about $15 per person for dinner on a Friday night.  Does anyone have any good ideas?

  • What about HJ's on Alexis? I don't know cost for sure, but I know they have the separate building with a couple of different banquet rooms in it along with the actual restaurant.

i think they closed more than a year ago. how many people? seems most restaurants have private rooms to accomodate groups.

  • I am sorry, I meant to put that...45 people.

I am not sure what HJ's is, but I will look them up. Thanks!

Hmm. Guess that won't work then. :- It has been about 3 years since I was there.

  • We had a work holiday party at casa barrons, it was nice.   they have a separate upstairs and i would think mexican food is reasonable.

  • Timot usually plans his parties so I know a few places that have private rooms

    Ambrosia on Dussel

    La Scola (?) on Reynolds

Bravo, but you have to book that private room early cause it fills up FAST.

    Navy Bistro

    Zia's

Mancy's (all of them have something)

Honestly I really liked La Scola last year.  The room was nice and we had it all to ourselves.  There was a big fireplace in there too which was nice becasue they did like presentations in front of it.  The management was cool and gave us a few waiters for our group.  I think there was 15-20..but honestly I don't remember.

  • MMM, I love Ambrosia!! Thanks for all of the suggestions.!  Much appreciated.
