Workout ppl, calm my nerves!
I am meeting w/ a personal trainer this afternoon for the first time ever in my whole life.
This guy (who I used to think was a creep but then saw his wife and kid so I'm ok w/ it) is a trainer at my gym and approached me last week. He said that he wants to help me integrate weights into my workout since I only do cardio and appear to be "stuck" (translation: you work out all the time but you actually look fatter, let me help).
I am just nervous about idk what and I need CALMING.

Breathe, dear. It'll be okay. Weights are actually a good thing (if used right)! They can get you toned and looking fabulous! Just think how HOT you'll be for DH!
If you still get the major creep out factor after your session with him, I would dump him.

I'm not afraid of the weights so much as I am of the man staring at me while I lift them.
But, as I type this my jeans are leaving quite the red mark on my belly so there will be no more complaining about working out!
It will be totally fine (as long as you dont get the creep out factor again from him). Weightlifting is a great thing! So healthy (preferably free weights) for so many reasons!
There are a ton of studies saying that women cant bulk up, no matter how much they lift, unless they take some drugs to help bulk them up, so that is definitely not something to worry about. It can just help you get tone, and stronger. Plus, muscle burns more calories,
I have never read it because my gym has trainers teaching us Olympic style weightlifting, but a lot of girls on the Health and Fitness Board rave about "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" so that might be worth looking at.
